Like solid country gold from a hard-rocking guitar, Nick Lawrence’s explosive style of western blues showcases the true elements of a spirited Texas legend in the making. Creating quite a stir from El Paso to Beaumont, the 23-year old guitar-slinger and southern crooner is blazing a trail across the lone star state, turning cowgirl’s heads and dance floors into rodeos. Nick Lawrence’s self-titled new release is an introspective look at his South Texas environment expressed through twangy guitar riffs, beer-soaked sing-alongs, and tales of dancehall dreaming. His dynamic and influential song writing will take a listener for a ride remembering lost loves and then toasting a drink in celebration of youthful freedom. At only eighteen years of age, Lawrence recorded his first album entitled, Heartbroke Rodeo, which sold more than 1,000 copies on its first night of release and gained him a foundation of die-hard fans. Riding the wave of success, Lawrence competed in the True Value Texas Music Showdown against veteran musicians all over the state, taking second place in 2000, and top honors on 2001. Though he has received an array of trophies and awards, Lawrence feels that his true reward is in the unifying energy created by him and his fans every night in the name of coutry music. In recent years, Lawrence has gained acclaim as a supporting act for Gary Allen, Johnny Lee, Pat Green, Tracy Lawrence, Chris Ledoux, Robert Earl Keen, and Charlie Robinson. With his raw emotions pouring out of his trusty telecaster like a Texas Flood, audiences can't help but become immersed in Nick Lawrence's soulful blend of HONKY-TONK ROCK. Although he shines as an electrifying and exciting showman, Lawrence's musicianship extends well beyond the stage-lit rock star. Not only a clever songwriter and gifted lead guitarist, Lawrence has also established himself as a skilled recording engineer. Exemplifying the charisma of a seasoned front man and finesse of a lead blues picker, Lawrence is destined to prove that southern rock shall rise again. Playing an average of 18 nights per month in and around San Antonio area Nick Lawrence Band has saturated the San Antonio market and is anxious to share his talents with the rest of Texas. Today, he continues to be an asset in the advancement and evolution of golden-era country that has become more than his life, but a representative of his culture. Lawrence's
